The Role

Location: Remote

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will work with the QA team to design, implement, and execute test plans, identify bugs and defects, throughly test new product features and work closely with the overall development team to support product quality.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed test plans and write test cases in preparation for development of major features based on product requirements.

  • Perform cross browser manual testing of new product features to catch bugs and defects.

  • Identify, document and track defects across our product backlog with detailed comprehensive reports.

  • Participate during sprint planning session and discuss your testing approach for each task with test cases to support this.

  • Communicate effectively with all members of development team throughout the development life cycle when reporting bugs.

  • Collaborate with our Web, API and Data teams to understand project requirements and provide quality assurance insights.

  • Conduct regression testing prior to a new release.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 1-2 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing.

  • Confident knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices

  • Familiarity with version control systems e.g. Git

  • Excellent communication and people skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Good analytical problem solving ability

  • Keen learner to up skill in new technologies.

  • Knowledge of web applications.

  • Knowledge of Rest APIs and tools for debugging for API testing.

  • Interest in test automation tools eg. cypress selenium
