The Role

As a QA Engineer Placement Student, you will gain hands-on experience in software quality assurance by working closely with our QA Testing team. You will assist in developing and executing test plans, conducting manual testing, and bug reporting to ensure high standards of product quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed test plans and write test cases in preparation for development of major features based on product requirements.
  • Perform cross browser manual testing of new product features to catch bugs and defects.
  • Identify, document and track defects across the product backlog with detailed comprehensive bug reports.
  • Participate during sprint planning meetings and discuss your testing approach for each task with test cases to support this.
  • Communicate effectively with all members of development team throughout the development life cycle when reporting bugs.
  • Collaborate with our Web, API and Data teams to understand project requirements and provide quality assurance insights.
  • Conduct regression testing prior to a new release.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Be studying a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Be currently in second year of your degree.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good analytical problem solving ability.
  • Keen to up skill in software testing methodologies and best practices.
